I have a habit of putting myself down,

It’s probably because I expect too much from myself. Standards that I wouldn’t even expect from others. I guess it’s because I’m an over achiever and the downfall to being one is that when you fall—- you fall hard. You begin to punish yourself when you fail using expressions like, ” I should have done this instead, I should have put more effort.” Then I end up blaming bad incidents upon myself which puts me in a precarious state; having low-self esteem.
